Studying Queer Rural Experiences, Relations and Emotions
Joe Jukes (they/them) is a PhD student at the University of Brighton. Joe researches rural queer experiences, relations and emotions, and will be conducting an ethnography in mid-Somerset as part of their PhD. They are interested in how we can understand the intersection of rural and queer more creatively, in photography and videography as research methods, and in keeping the revolutionary spirit of queer liberation alive. Joe is also active in the peace and anti-war movement, and hosts the queer reality-TV podcast Love To See It.
